Wah, the first half of the year just came and passed in a wink!
Some people like to take stock now of what has happened in the past six months, instead of waiting until December. On a personal level, I’d say many good things have happened; from my new passion in photography to AirAsia’s recent announcement of Miri-Singapore direct flights!
But the most dramatic episode that has happened to me recently was nothing short of a miracle.
In one of my May postings, I mentioned about my Form Five Class of ’78 in Sacred Heart School, Sibu. Not many responses were received since our Class of ’78 blog was launched. So last Sunday I was determined to take further action; I compiled a Contact List and emailed to the five names I have.
Lo and behold, the response was fantastic!
From five, the list has grown to over 40 names now! For the past few days, I was on the phone talking to my Form mates whom I’ve lost contact for the past 30 years! Yes, we are ready for a year-end reunion in Sibu!
And the wonderful gift I received last evening was this “gem” from my classmate Lee Kah Ping in Bintulu. This photo is priceless!
My class photo taken in 1978 – yes, 31 years ago! I’ve lost my school magazine and I’ve been asking many whether they still kept a copy. Thanks Kah Ping, you have made many of your classmates happy! I will appreciate if anyone of you out there who can recognize anyone in the photo, please inform them to email me, thanks!
Oh ya, if you’re not my school mate and can identify me in the photo, then lunch is on me! ๐
I know … I know … the 5th one seated from the right (on teacher’s left). Correct? Got free lunch ah?

I give up – you must have changed a lot, the major reason is because of my not-so-perfect eye sight now! If you visit KK, I can buy you lunch, and if ilene visits here, free lunch also. If she fancies BKT, it shall be for dinner!

Ilene – nope, try again! Not easy because I also almost couldn’t believe I looked that ugly, hahaha!
Yan – good excuse (yr eye sight)! I’ve put on too much weight; I think it’s hard to recognize who I was, lol!

Ok James one more try … here goes … last row, 6th from the left. Now got free makan or not?
Wah Yan, I’m hungry already! Could I take a rain cheque?
Just between us, come Mon (20/7), I’m going in for cataract operation of my right eye. I’ll probably be staying away from the PC for a week or so. Then I’ll be away again for a short while during the early weeks of Aug to visit my daughter in S’pore. Missing her dearly! Come 23rd Aug, I’m having prayers at the church for my mum. This would be her 1st death anniversary.
So James, should I win, (wah so confident!) I too would have to take a rain cheque! hehehehe *keeping fingers & toes crossed*!
