How often do you watch a wedding video clip that moves you?
Emotionally stirred, I mean.
I’m surprised it could happen to me, a seasoned cow. : )
Over last weekend I chanced upon this site called the Wedding Story. It is a brand name of a company from Penang that specializes in wedding videography and photography. Isn’t the name wonderfully appropriate? : ) After the weekend of watching, I can safely vouch that their wedding videos are the best I’ve seen so far, : ).
Curious at the standard of its presentation, I clicked on the clip of the posting “The Wedding of Pin Lee and Macy.” Wah, they are good, very good, excellent! Their art of telling a wedding story through videography is refreshingly sweet! No easy job – all of the videos (including my own wedding vids) I’ve seen were mostly “Point-and-Shoot” with no unfolding stories whatsoever. I scrolled down further and two more postings “Why should I even bother hiring a videographer?” and “The difference between Journalistic and Cinematic style videos” caught my attention. Now I know my definition of “Point-and-Shoot” videography is “journalistic” style.
Success is seldom the work of one man but from many who work as a team. Further browsing got me to read about photographer Grace Tan, videographer Lim Kee Sitt with his wife and video editor Sharon (apparently a dynamic husband-and wife duo) and their amazing team.
I love this snippet I found in one of the pages that really tickled me!
“At Wedding Story we have a constant battle between our team members as to whether Canon is better than Nikon or not. But the answer is clear – Canon IS (and I maintain the website!)”
Well said! I wonder who could that be? : )
Hi James,
Thank you for the kind words about us. I am glad you see the storyteller in us which differentiate us from others. The snippet was written by Grace’s husband, Alex.
Thank you again 🙂
regards,
Kee
